HISTORY OF THE DIVISION OF INTERNATIONAL CRIMINOLOGY

A Resolution for the Establishment of Divisions within ASC was approved by the membership as of October 30, 1980. The ASC Board approved the creation of the Division of International Criminology at its Board Meeting on November 10, 1981.  The DIC formally came into existence as of Noon on Thursday, November 12, 1981 when the DIC held its first meeting in the Pan American room of the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.
